While the first film followed the children of the Loser's Club, It: Chapter Two sees Pennywise the Dancing Clown terrorizing them as adults. It seems that Pennywise's influence has already spread as there are red balloons and weird happenings all over the small town. The crew also includes Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon (originally Chosen Jacobs) and Go Girls actor Jay Ryan is a grownup Ben Hanscom, played by Jeremy Ray Taylor in the first It.
Based on the novel It by Stephen King, the film is directed by Andy Muschietti. In both interpretations, the Loser's Club returns to Derry after about 30 years to kill Pennywise once and for all. While the first teaser for It dropped in March 2017 - ahead of the film's September release - it's been a much longer wait this time around.
Probably one of the creepiest parts in the trailer is when Mrs. Kersh said that "You know what they say about Derry?".
At the first glance of the trailer, we see an old woman in a cordial chat with Beverly Marsh (Jessica Chastain) in the film. Beverly is understandably uptight in this old house given the traumas she endured there, and the odd things going on with this lady do not help. "No one who dies here ever really dies", the elderly woman tells Beverly in the scene. She is invited in to look around and reminisce.
Denver votes to decriminalise magic mushrooms by razor-thin margin
Kevin Matthews, director of the Decriminalize Denver campaign, said psilocybin has helped him deal with depression for years. Election officials said on Twitter that the "results remain unofficial" until they are certified on May 16.
The slow build of horror and tension is excellent in the trailer, as Bev realizes something is not quite right with the old woman and, even worse, realizes the connection to Pennywise.
The film was a critical and financial success, taking a worldwide total of $700.4 million at the box office against a production budget of $35 million, and scoring an 85% approval rating on review aggregation website, Rotten Tomatoes.
The highly-anticipated trailer for the horror sequel It: Chapter Two has finally been released.
