Baby Sussex's name was a big surprise - especially since Archie wasn't a top contender amongst those betting on royal baby names. That moniker is more easily interpreted, since the term quite literally means "son of Harry" and originated in the Middle Ages. Their Royal Highnesses' son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
When asked who the baby looks like, Prince Harry joked that his son was already growing facial hair like him. "I'm sure they will be thrilled", she said.
Meghan declared motherhood to be "magic".
"The staff here are over the moon", Richard Taylor, director at G.H.Hurt & Son tells PEOPLE, adding: "We thought Harry and Meghan might do something slightly different because their modus operandi has been to do new things so I think it's really nice that they are also keeping some family traditions as well".

Harry is due to return to royal duties Thursday, attending an event in The Hague for the Invictus Games sports competition for injured service personnel and veterans.
