It seems as though Disney is going to do their best to try and create a strong desire for more Star Wars movies by not giving us one a year, as has been the strategy since they took over.

My other guess would be that a team-up movie won't happen until 2023, five years from now.

"Avatar 2", which Disney acquired from Fox, was also pushed back a year from December 18, 2020.

Get your popcorn buckets ready - Disney has a packed slate of films through December 2027.

While we aren't 100 percent sure what's coming after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the picture is slightly more clear.

Trump threatens higher tariffs on $200bn of Chinese goods
An increase to 25 percent tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese exports from 10 percent would raise the drag to 0.9 percentage point. China's nationalists view this as an unacceptable surrender of Chinese sovereignty.

The Studios' 2019 slate rounds out with Fox's The Woman in the Window on October 4 and Ford V. Ferrari on November 15, Disney's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil on October 18 and Disney Animation's Frozen 2 on November 22, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on December 20, and Blue Sky Studios' Spies in Disguise, moving from September to Christmas.

Several "Star Wars" projects are in the works, including a trilogy by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of HBO´s "Game of Thrones", and a separate trilogy by "Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson. It's not hard to see why Disney has pulled the plug on all of Fox's in-development X-Men films; after all, these characters (along with the Fantastic Four and many others) will be folded into the MCU at some point down the line. Neither titles nor plot details for those films have been announced, but the first of the three will arrive Dec. 16, 2022, with additional entries arriving Dec. 20, 2024, and Dec. 18, 2026. One of the biggest changes is the first sequel to James Cameron's Avatar.

Here's a tweet from Lucasfilm Publicist Chris A. confirming the great news! Three new Star Wars films are on the slate and they are going to come out not long after the nine-film saga concludes with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hitting theaters this December. The YA adaptation "Artemis Fowl" moved from this August to next May.
