According to the TBI, a family member called 911 Saturday evening to a home on Charles Brown Road in Westmoreland, Tennessee. Officials found another deceased body at a nearby home, the statement said.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation tweeted Saturday night that 25-year-old Michael Cummins was in custody.
During the investigation, authorities determined Cummins was a suspect in both crimes. Authorities in rural Tennessee captured a suspect Saturday during a manhunt that was prompted by the discovery of several bodies in two homes.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Sunday in a news release that forensic scientists working at the scene at a home near the community of Westmoreland found the sixth body. Cummins was taken to a local hospital.

In a creek bed approximately one mile from the first scene, the search plane appeared to locate the individual. A fifth, injured victim was also at the home, and transported to the hospital. The TBI believes the two scenes are related.
A number of law enforcement agencies had been searching for Cummins, saying he could be armed and unsafe.
Another body was found Saturday at another home in the area.
Cummins's relationships with the victims and alleged motives remain under investigation, TBI said.
Sumner County is northeast of Nashville not far from the Tennessee line with Kentucky. Police haven't released how the victims died. One victim survived and is recovering at a local hospital.
