The only team the Rajasthan Royals have defeated so far is the one below them in the standings - the winless Royal Challengers Bangalore; even in that match, RR prevailed with one ball to spare.

Having lost their previous game at home against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Royals led by Ajinkya Rahane will look to come back strongly in this encounter against MS Dhoni and boys.

While Dhoni, who scored his second fifty against RR this season, managed to stay put till the final over, despite looking in all sorts of discomfort, with the CSK physio rushing onto the field to attend to the CSK skipper. Similarly, someone like Ben Stokes needs to be used much higher in the batting order.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings produced yet another disciplined bowling effort to restrict Rajasthan Royals to a modest 151 for seven in 20 overs. The Super Kings' management must be anxious about Ambati Rayudu's form, and need to plan extensively to cover for the injury to Dwayne Bravo.

Under the astute captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CSK boasts of a perfectly balanced squad to excel on any surface and all conditions.

RR is a balanced side with captain Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler and Steven Smith taking charge of the batting department and Dhawal Kulkarni, Shreyas Gopal and Shreyas Gowtham regular names in bowling line-up. Deepak Chahar is picking wickets and he has the company of Harbhajan Singh who is equally fierce and strikes early.

It was the Belgian's opener that made headlines as he weaved between five West Ham defenders to slot the ball into the back of the net.

Jos Buttler and Steve Smith are the Rajasthan Royals' two top run-getters this season.

CSK playing 11: Faf du Plessis, Shane Watson, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Scott Kuggeleijn, Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir, Deepak Chahar. Given the big boundaries at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the batsmen will also focus on running hard between the wickets and aim to pick up as many twos as possible. Apart from the players on both sides, it is the captaincy of Dhoni which has a major influence on the match.

Overall: Matches - 20, Rajasthan Royals - 7, Chennai Super Kings-13.

Probable playing XI of both teams. The game will start at 8.00 p.m. IST.
