More than two weeks after Robert Mueller, the special counsel conducting the Russian Federation inquiry, handed his final report to Barr, there is no sign of any let-up in Democratic demands.
Allegations this week that the US Justice chief downplayed serious evidence of illegal obstruction by Trump in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's final report are fuelling demands that he release the entire, unexpurgated document to Congress.
Trump's tweet simultaneously criticized members of Mueller's team for becoming mainstream media news sources, and accuses those same media outlets of not having the sources that Trump just got done denouncing.
"If we give the Democrats all 400 pages unredacted that's not going to be the end of the inquiry", Mulvaney said.
Yet Barr also conceded that Mueller did compile evidence of obstruction, and quoted the special counsel as saying that: "While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him".
On the Sunday talk shows the charge was led by Jerry Nadler, chair of the House judiciary committee, who said trust should not be placed in Barr's four-page summary of the report because the attorney general was "biased".
While Donald Trump does the happy dance and crows that he's been "completely and totally exonerated" for all we know the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker may have been exonerated as well, or maybe not.

But news media reports this week said members of Mr Mueller's team were unhappy with the way Mr Barr, a Trump appointee, had characterised the report's conclusions.
In June 2018, with Sessions's job already known to be imperilled, Barr sent an unsolicited legal memo to the Justice Department and White House strongly criticising the Mueller investigation and its impingement on the president's prerogatives.
Nadler indicated that he will not immediately issue the subpoenas, but rather attempt to use them as leverage over Barr and others to voluntarily provide the requested report and testify about it. Democratic opponents of Trump in Congress, and some Republicans, have called for release of the full Mueller report, with one Democratic-controlled committee in the House of Representatives last week voting to subpoena the full report and supporting material. "Let's see what the attorney general does first", he said.
He said his letter was not a summary of Mueller's report. He is reviewing the report to determine whether grand jury and classified information has to be withheld.
On Friday, the Justice Department, commenting on a fresh ruling in a case on grand jury secrecy, signalled its stance against that.
"The requests for his private tax information are not consistent with governing law, do not advance any proper legislative goal, and threaten to interfere with the ordinary conduct of audits", Mr Consovoy said.
