Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Sky Sports he wants to get players signed up at Manchester United in time for pre-season.

The Norwegian famously scored a last-gasp victor at Camp Nou as United rounded off a landmark season in memorable fashion, beating the Bavarian giants 2-1 in the Champions League final after being a goal down heading into injury time.

"I'm just going to be myself as I've always been", 1999 treble hero Solskjaer said at his unveiling. "That's got to be the short-term target".

When Solskjaer first took over from Mourinho, United went on a fine scoring run which saw them score two or more in five successive games for the first time since April 2008.

The likes of Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo could leave this summer but United are involved in contract stand-offs with goalkeeper David de Gea and midfielders Ander Herrera and Juan Mata, with the club so far refusing to meet their wage demands.

"Mick is a key part of the setup and they are talking to each other", said Solskjaer.

"I'm sure that to play against Manchester is always very hard and very demanding", Gracia said.

Of Mourinho's big-money purchases, only Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku have made a significant impact, with some - Alexis Sanchez being a prime example - barely making a positive contribution at all.

2 killed, 2 wounded after gunman’s rampage in Seattle
Police Chief Carmen Best told the Seattle Times that four people were shot, and that there was one fatality. Officials said numerous streets in the area were blocked off and police instructed the public to stay away.

The Chilean became the club's highest earner in January 2018 but has scored just five goals for the club, only two of which have come in 23 appearances this season.

Former Arsenal midfielder Merson is backing Manchester United to ease past Watford. "We've already been playing catch-up to Manchester City and Liverpool for too long".

Marcus Rashford is keen on signing a new deal with Manchester United.

Some of Europe's best young players are being linked with moves to Old Trafford, with seven names said to be on the shopping list.

"Ed Woodward would end up being hated, thrown out the club, the crowd would turn on him [if Solskjaer was not appointed]".

"I know he has indicated he doesn't need a new centre-back, but that's where I'd disagree".

The Norwegian was a legend as a player at Manchester United and now, he's the man tasked with bringing back the halcyon days of the "Sir Alex Ferguson era" at Old Trafford.
