Liverpool Mohamed is some way off his stunning 44-goal haul of last season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has backed Mohamed Salah to rediscover his goalscoring form and believes team-mate Sadio Mane can provide inspiration.

Liverpool required an 81st-minute penalty from James Milner to secure a 2-1 win at relegation-threatened Fulham and return to the top of the Premier League yesterday.

The former England global only made it into double figures for league goals once in his Liverpool career - scoring 14 times in the treble-winning 2000-01 campaign - but it was his link-up play with Michael Owen which proved to be his most valuable asset.

But Liverpool ended last season trophyless after Salah was injured in a tangle with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final.

Salah has failed to score for the seventh game in a row as Liverpool snatched a late defeat against Fulham on Sunday.

"In football it's sometimes like this", Klopp told Liverpool's website.

French air crash investigators say ‘clear similarities’ between Boeing 737 MAX crashes
She said a report on the data, which has been validated by U.S. and Ethiopian authorities, will be issued within the next month . The US's air-safety agency initially resisted moves by its worldwide peers to ground the 737 MAX after the second crash.

"Not that concerned [with Salah's current form], he's still making the right sort of runs, he's still trying to do the things that we saw him do last year", Robson said on the ESPN FC show.

Klopp added: "He's just rather unlucky, where Sadio is lucky in the moment - he is in brilliant shape, that's true".

The Reds looked to have let a huge advantage slip when former Reds winger Ryan Babel made the most of Virgil van Dijk and Alisson's mix-up to cancel out Sadio Mane's opener in the first-half.

"These moments... I was a striker, I had that as well, you think, "Oh" and then somebody else missed the chance".

The Reds are sitting in top spot in the Premier League table and two points ahead of defending champions Manchester City, having played one game more than their title rivals.
