It's not your imagination: This Facebook outage is massive

Facebook into second day of global outage

Can't update status? Facebook and Instagram are down

"We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support".

It appears users all over the world are reporting problems.

Facebook responded to concerns this morning, saying that some users may encounter challenges accessing the site as it was down for "maintenance".

According to some media reports, the site remains down for some users.

Facebook and Instagram has gone down worldwide, and no one really knows why.

Facebook's developers' status dashboard states that the social network has been having a "partial outage" for the last three hours.

"We're aware that some people are now having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps", the company said in a statement. I have still been unable to post anything, even though the social media site is accessible.

Injured woman apologizes to Arizona zoo after jaguar attack
CBS News reports that the woman received stitches on Sunday and later met with the zoo on Sunday and apologized for her action. At this point, another patron intervened by stuffing a half-empty water bottle through the cage to distract the jaguar.

After acknowledging there is an issue, Facebook also made it clear, via Twitter of course, that the company was not facing a DDoS attack.

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp have been down for users around the world for at least five hours.

A spokeswoman for Google said it was aware of the problem. Others, on the other hand, simply receive an error message that says "something went wrong".

But a Queensland Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia no such warning was issued and they had received no calls about the issue.

PIX11 has reached out to spokespeople for the various platforms for more information.

Facebook on Wednesday said it is aware of widespread outages on its platforms, including Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram, and is working to resolve the issue.
