ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) - Nick Kyrgios won the Mexico Open on Saturday night for his fifth ATP Tour title, beating second-seeded Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-4 in the hardcourt event at The Princess Mundo Imperial.

"First attempt in a finals it's nice to pass the hurdle and get to 100 rather than going to every single event from now on and going 'Is this going to be the week where you're going to reach 100?' and going 'Yeah, I hope so, '" he said.

"I won the last match I played here and not a lot of guys can say that", joked Isner.

Speaking in the aftermath of his landmark victory, the Swiss superstar called the achievement a "dream come true" and said he was feeling a "deep satisfaction" with the result.

He added: "That's why you have to be fit on many fronts: mentally, physically; you have to be able to beat different types of players: beat them all on successive days". I think that was a secret for me. I think this number proves that.

Having Federer reach 100 wins is a nice thing for Connors too because it puts into perspective just how incredible his career was.

"The foundation will only continue to grow in terms of time that I am going to be putting into it but then again, how much more time remains to be seen". I'd be happy with 100 [match] wins ...

House panel opens sweeping probe of Trump and associates
On Monday, the House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. The committee said there might be additional requests. Mueller III for almost 11 months.

"Welcome to the "Triple Digit" tournament victory club @rogerFederer - I've been a bit lonely - glad to have the company", wrote the American.

Federer surgically broke serve in the first game and took the set on his fourth set point.

The Rafael Nadal Academy also tweeted: "We still remember your words when you came to the inauguration of the academy in 2017 and you were injured".

Kyrgios, who jumped 39 places in the rankings to 33 in the world after he won the tournament in Acapulco, his first ATP title in more than a year, said last week he wasn't interested in Nadal's opinion. The idea was for the people to know that I am coming back (to Dubai) next year.

"Today, you have won your 100??!"

It was also a Swiss double this year in Dubai as Belinda Bencic had won the women's title last week with a dramatic three-set win over Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic.

The question on everybody's lips now is whether or not he will overtake the great Jimmy Connor's haul of 109 titles, a feat that Federer has called "extraordinary".
