Tennis: Novak Djokovic reacts to shock Qatar Open semi-final defeat

Asked, after his defeat to Roberto Bautista Agut in the Qatar Open semi-final, if he would reassess his chances of a 15th major title, the world number one said tersely that he a single aim in Melbourne: "A trophy".

For the 30-year-old Bautista Agut, it was only the second victory in nine matches against Djokovic.

"I will remember this match all my life".

The final of the competition will be between Bautista Agut and wildcard Tomas Berdych on Saturday. I know it's hard to play at this level. The World No.1 was part of the singles and doubles draws here, playing alongside younger brother Marko. The Djokovics - Novak and 27-year-old Marko lost in the semifinals to the Belgian-French combine of David Goffin and Pierre-Hugues Herbert.

This is a hoot: Real birds react to Bird Box
It wasn't the first time the streaming giant has boasted about one of its projects having a major impact with its subscribers. Being clear-eyed about Netflix's Twitter brags doesn't mean that we have to be unimpressed with Bird Box's success.

"Roberto was too good, so well done for the title today, but I am happy for the week", the world number 71 added. "That's it", Djokovic said in his post-match press conference. The Serbian player leads head to head meetings 1-0, they already faced each other at the Monte Carlo Masters with Novak prevailing in straight sets, 6-4 6-2. Novak was up and it was tough.

If he wins his last eight match, Djokovic is on course to meet Stan Wawrinka in the semi-finals after the Swiss also won on Wednesday, beating Chile's Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 7-6 (7/3). He hasn't dropped a set this week.

Bautista Agut squandered three set points in the second set and another in the tie-break before eventually levelling the match to force a decider, in which he immediately broke serve and never looked back.

Djokovic was in cruise control in the first set, winning 6-3, and took an early break in the second. As often happens, Djokovic started slowly but surely to find his groove and after breaking back (4-2), he consolidates (4-3) and he had even a ball to make it even to 4-all.
