Game of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Has a Battle of Ice and Fire

First 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Tease Officially Released

While it does not give much detail about what we will see in the upcoming final season, it does hint at how things might pan out in Westeros.

Today, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss appeared alongside Maisie Williams and John Bradley at São Paulo Expo in Brazil, an offshoot of San Diego Comic-Con. In the season finale a year ago, the Night King rode on the undead dragon Viserion as he broke down a section of the wall with the White Walker army marching down south.

The new teaser shows fire and ice sweeping against each other over Westeros.

Game of Thrones will be broadcast on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in April 2019. In time, the ice meets the fire, in what will be the fight till the finish. "April 2019". One of the books from which the television series is based is called A Song Of Ice And Fire.

Fred Hoiberg fired as Chicago Bulls coach
Hoiberg's recipe for success was clear to everyone who followed his team, everyone except those running the Bulls organization. The Bulls fired Fred Hoiberg on Monday after three-plus seasons. "We believe Jim will be able to effect change", Paxson said.

As pointed out by our own Kim Renfro, "GoT" composer Djawadi Ramin's "Winter is Here", from the season seven finale, can be heard in the teaser.

Most notably, the lion of Lannister burns up, in an image that evokes the fiery "Loot Train Battle" last season. But the story of Game of Thrones has always been about fire and ice, be it White Walkers and Targaryens, or aunts and nephews who may unite the kingdom by being in accidentally incestuous relationships.

Another fun factoid: The scripts also reveal at one point there was a plan for the White Walkers to communicate in a special language.

Is it getting chilly in here, or is it just Game of Thrones' latest teaser trailer?
