Last Sunday versus the Chargers, things couldn't have been more different as Wilson put together one of his worst games of the season. Wilson scrambled for 16 yards to the Chargers 28 and, after a spike, Seattle had 30 seconds left. His passer rating of 105 was still stellar and, most importantly, his control of the ball ensured that his team won, but it was a shakier start than usual. Opposing Russell is the gunslinger in the west, Philip Rivers, who rolls into Seattle ranked third in yards per attempt and sixth in completion percentage, meaning he can get the ball down field often and effectively. The run defense was bad too as the Chargers averaged 7.3 yards per carry. Most costly, he misread coverage and threw a pass that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter.
Seattle also didn't have answers for Keenan Allen, who had 124 yards on six receptions. "We go against these boys every day", Gordon said. Carson had just eight carries, leaving Mike Davis as the primary back.
McDougald didn't play in the second half with a knee injury that Carroll said was "pretty sore" on Monday. Fluker didn't play late in the game due to the injury and was replaced by C Joey Hunt playing out of position. Guard D.J. Fluker injured a leg in the fourth quarter. Wright were excellent. And for some parts of the game, they were.
Unai Emery is addressing Arsenal's big-game failings
Ramsey scored a sensational goal in Arsenal's 5-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage last month to open his account for the season. While Liverpool only took one point from fixtures against those big four teams, they now have five.
"We've just got to do a better job", Clark said. Sturgis is the first kicker with a missed extra point and missed field goal in three straight games since Raiders kicker Jim Breech in 1979.
The Chargers will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Oakland.
