The footage appears to show a mob of Proud Boys members kicking and punching three anti-fascist protesters.
Police were appealing for more information to identify three men involved in the altercation, which was also captured from another angle in a video widely circulated on social media over the weekend.
Meanwhile, police Monday released new video from the fight Friday night on East 82nd Street after Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnis gave a speech at the Metropolitan Republican Club.
After a brutal brawl that broke out when left-wing Antifa members "intercept [ed]" a group of right-wing "Proud Boys" in Manhattan Friday night, police say they are looking for a total of twelve people caught on video resorting to violence, including three Antifa and nine Proud Boys. It is classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, an anti-extremism watchdog. The "Proud Boys" are a far-right men's group whose members refer to themselves as "Western chauvinists".
"The NYPD is fully investigating last night's attack involving the Proud Boys", de Blasio tweeted Saturday.
But in a conference call with reporters, Cuomo said McInnes was invited by Republicans who knew there was the potential for violence.
Cuomo said he had directed the state police to assist the New York Police Department in a probe of the violence that took place Friday night between the Proud Boys and those protesting the speech.
Climate Change Likely to Ding Beer Supply
Jess Newman, the company's director of agronomy in the United States, said , "We take climate uncertainty very seriously". As beer supplies shrink, wealthy, traditionally beer-loving countries are likely to see the most drastic price hikes.
Ahead of that event, the Metropolitan Republican Club was vandalized, the New York Times reported, with anarchist symbols over the doors and windows broken. A note left at the scene said the damage was "just the beginning".
What happened outside the Metropolitan Republican Club on Friday?
Queens District Attorney candidate and New York City Councilman Rory Lancman issued a statement calling out the NYPD for their apparent inaction during the beatings.
Cuomo called on state Republicans to "repudiate" the decision to invite McInnes to speak.
Cuomo struck a more pointed tone in his statement and called out the Proud Boys by name.
"It is revolting to see white supremacists commit a hate crime on the streets of New York City - in full view of the NYPD - and for none of them to be arrested or prosecuted", Lancman said.
NYPD officers stand guard on streets as fans arrive to watch the World Cup final match between France and Croatia on July 15, 2018 in New York City. "The NYPD has canvassed the area to obtain video and additional evidence". Police didn't immediately make clear if those in custody were affiliated with the Proud Boys or the group of protesters. Thus far, no one has filed a complaint with the NYPD regarding this incident.
