With Microsoft all set to host their annual launch event in New York City tomorrow, a new leak surfaced online. Namely, we're expecting to see 2018 updates in the form of a new Surface Pro 5 (or 6. or numberless), a Surface Laptop 2 and a Surface Studio 2.
Microsoft is holding a launch event in NY later today to announce new products. Do you like this new black color of Surface family? Both the Surface Pro 6 and the Surface Laptop 2 will be pre-installed in the consumer versions of Windows 10 in S-mode. However, popular tipster Ronald Quandt has in a tweet predicted that the Surface Pro 6 will carry the same price as the Surface Pro, which was launched a year ago. Interestingly, none of the devices will reportedly be equipped with USB Type-C ports.
The lack of live stream further cements my theory that we're not going to see any exciting new hardware or redesigns in the Surface family until 2019. Having been criticized roundly in 2017 for offering a minor update to the Surface Pro 4 with the Surface Pro (2017), Microsoft is more-or-less doing exactly the same thing again, at least as far as the physical chassis and design are concerned. Users will be able to configure their notebooks just like in previous years, with RAM going up to 16GB, storage going up to 1TB of SSD, and up to Intel Core i7 chips.
The 2018 version of the Surface Laptop will likely appear with hardware very similar to its predecessor, much like Surface Pro. The video gives a good look at the Surface Pro 6 from all angles, including close-ups of its ports, the display, and the kickstand.
Canada Likely to Reach Nafta Accord Sunday, Announcement Is ‘Imminent’
A side letter published along with the main text of the agreement exempts a percentage of eligible auto exports from the tariffs . Trump wanted Canada to open its dairy market to US farmers, and Canada wanted to preserve a mechanism for resolving disputes.
When it comes to specs, the entry-level Surface Laptop 2 will pack an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB, and 128GB of storage.
It is likely that the Surface Laptop 2 will also look identical to the Surface Laptop, which was announced a year ago. While we had hoped that the new OS will top the charts this Fall, it now appears an additional few months might be required for that to happen.
Microsoft doesn't seem to be a big fan of USB-C on most devices.
Microsoft originally launched the Surface RT and Surface in a black coloured variant, but eventually switched to silver.
