Maurizio Sarri is open to the prospect of John Terry joining his coaching staff at Chelsea but fears the club's former captain is intent upon playing for another season before he turns his attention to life in the dug-out.
Terry is now without a club having left Aston Villa at the end of the 2017-2018 Championship campaign after Steve Bruce's side were beaten in the play-off final by Fulham in May.
Sarri believes Terry, 37, still wants to play for another season, but insists he will always be welcome at his "home" back at Chelsea.
"I remember in my first season in Naples, the average points per match during the season was 2.28, I think", he said. This is John Terry's home.
Called in for his first start of the Premier League season, Giroud repaid Maurizio Sarri's faith by teeing up the first two goals of Hazard's sublime treble at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are forever involved in some soap opera or another while continuity seems to be a dirty word at Stamford Bridge.
But the timing of the fixture makes a damaging setback more likely according to Sarri, who said that he encountered a similar problem during his time in charge of Napoli.
"I'm trying to stress this number to my players, just telling them this number, my experience in this situation".
