College football reporter Brett McMurphy, the same guy who broke the news about OSU wide receivers coach Zach Smith's firing following multiple allegations of domestic abuse, posted screenshots of text conversations between Zach's ex-wife Courtney and Urban Meyer's wife Shelley, photos of Courtney's injuries, along with an extensive report of his other findings on Facebook.
Meyer was placed on paid administrative leave by Ohio State on Wednesday afternoon following the revelation that Courtney Smith told wives of Ohio State coaches - including Meyer's wife Shelley - that she was abused by Zach.
The Ohio State University announced on Thursday that its Board of Trustees formed a "special independent board working group related to the investigation involving Urban Meyer".
Ryan Day will serve as interim head coach while the investigation is ongoing. Meyer said the decision to fire Smith was a "very tough call".
Meyer ended up as the Ohio State coach because of a previous football scandal.

The most recent charge occurred in May, during an incident that occurred when Zach Smith dropped off the couple's son at his wife's home. Smith has never been criminally charged.
