NAB Rawalpindi has asked for and got ten woman police personnel from Pakistan's Punjab province, but sources told The News that it is still highly unlikely Maryam would be lodged at NAB's police station at the Rawalpindi bureau, where her father will most likely be taken.

Sharif has also said the military's intelligence wing, the Inter-Services Intelligence agency, is intimidating his party's candidates to switch loyalties, or to run as independents, ahead of the July 25 poll.

"In a tweet, the former first daughter said "[First] time in 30 days, Ami opened eyes for a few seconds.

"They are coming home and I would not let them go to jail".

Meanwhile in Pakistan, things don't look good for the beleaguered PML-N.

Pakistan's media regulator has ordered television channels to stop live telecast of briefings of political leaders containing "defamatory and derogatory content" ahead for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's return to the country on Friday, NDTV reported.

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz had been unconscious and in a critical condition after she suffered a cardiac arrest last month.

Erstwhile premier Nawaz Sharif, while en route to Pakistan, gave a video message Friday morning which was released on Twitter by his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Nawaz Sharif, 68, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison by a Pakistan accountability court for corrupt practices linked to his family's purchase of London flats.

Speaking from inside his vehicle near Raiwind Flyover of the Lahore Ring Road, he reminded his party supporters that they were to welcome Mr Nawaz Sharif on his arrival at the Lahore airport.

"No logic can defend the 30-day detention of our workers", Shehbaz upheld.

While lashing out Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, PML-N president said that Imran Khan Niazi neither knows politics nor morality, he will see millions of PML-N workers will reach to welcome their leader.

Lamenting that the party is not being allowed to campaign and is "being pushed against the wall", Shehbaz said, "No one complain to me later if we are not given a level playing field".

"The caretaker setup is a salaried puppet", he said. "Judge's verdict stated that there was no proof of corruption against Nawaz", he said while adding that he was sentenced based on presumptions.
