The arrest of Dedrick D. Williams, 22, comes two days after Onfroy was tragically shot to death in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

The death of the 20-year-old rapper stunned the hip hop community and sparked tributes online.

Authorities have arrested a suspect in the killing of rapper XXXTentacion, who died Monday after being shot while he sat inside his SUV outside of a motorcycle dealership.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office announced that they arrested 22-year-old Dedrick Williams Wednesday evening.

"Homicide detectives are seeking additional suspects", the Broward County Sheriff's Office said.

He is now reportedly facing charges of first-degree murder, driving without a valid licence and a probation violation for theft of a auto. "More details will be released later today".

As the music world continues to react to his death, Onfroy's mother has now revealed that he was expecting a child at the time of his death.

TMZ reports that the murder suspect was charged with probation violation for a previous grand theft charge.

XXXTentacion - whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy - was shot dead in Florida on Monday, but had known he was going to be a father for a couple of weeks, according to the website. The controversial rapper was leaving a motorcycle dealership when a gunman suddenly went up to his vehicle and shot him.

"Williams (dob 3/23/96) was taken into custody shortly before 7 Pompano", the department tweeted on Thursday morning. The sheriff's Office said the incident appeared to be a robbery.

He was facing 15 felony charges and was now awaiting trial after being charged with counts of false imprisonment, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and domestic battery by strangulation, for incidents involving his ex-girlfriend in 2016. As previously reported, there are arrest warrants out for three more suspects in XXXTentacion's murder case. "I think the determination was that he wanted to buy a motorcycle, but [detectives] are not discounting any theory".
