Is Fortnite Cross Play on Nintendo Switch?

Nintendo Switch getting Netflix and You Tube apps suggest Best Buy 'error'

Netflix and You Tube could be coming to the Nintendo Switch

"Fortnite" is headed to the Nintendo Switch - a flawless marriage of an absurdly popular game with an absurdly popular game console.

Early this morning, Simon Aarons tweeted a screenshot of Fortnite data pulled from Nintendo's eShop servers (more here, and a screenshot right on Nintendo's server here) as they prepare for the game's release. Even if you unlink your PS4 from your Epic Games account, you still won't be able to play using that account on Nintendo Switch. All that's left is for Epic Games or Nintendo to officially announce Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch which we should see at E3 2018 at Nintendo's conference along with a release date.

It's been long-rumoured that Nintendo is planning to announce that Netflix and YouTube are headed to the Nintendo Switch at E3 2018 - and now United States retailer Best Buy has added a squirt of fuel to the speculation-filled fire.

Local 24 reporter, Annette Peagler went to Cheeks home and tried to get a comment from her family, but no one answered the door. They say Leimome Cheeks is a very nice woman and they can't believe she did something like this. "I think she needs some help".

Similar to the standard Fortnite Battle Royale Starter Pack, the Wingman is available for just $4.99 and includes an assortment of cosmetics and in-game money. There was no mention of Fortnite's Save the World PvE mode, so I'm assuming only the battle royale mode will be made available on Switch.

Set in a huge map this version of the game puts 100 players against each other.

Fortnite is free-to-play so you can jump in whenever you want without worrying about breaking the bank on an experience you may not like. It also has previously forbidden cross-play for Minecraft or Rocket League, while Microsoft and Nintendo allow it. It's a complex, silly, and - most importantly - free game that's available on almost every platform: PC, Mac, iPhone/iPad, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Unlike PUBG however, Fortnite Battle Royale is completely free. Each tier costs 150 V-Bucks.
