Harry Kane signs new six-year contract with Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has signed a new contract with the club, extending his tenure by two years to 2024, the Premier League side said here on Friday.

Spurs' objective is to move into their new stadium after the summer with all their star players still at the club as they target Premier League and Champions League success.

The new deal means that the 24-year-old will lead the club into their new stadium, which is set to open at the beginning of the 2018-19 season.

Kane has more than 20 goals in each of the last four English Premier Leagues, and delivered a career-best 30 this campaign as Spurs secured a third consecutive top-three finish. The President of the English club, Daniel levy, for fear of interest to the player from the real Madrid, chose to encourage effective striker a new contract with significantly improved personal conditions.

"I'm really excited. It's a proud day. For us as a club, it's just [about] to keep improving, and we will work hard to do that".

However, the two-time Premier League Golden Boot victor is intent on changing that in the coming season, with the last trophy the Lilywhites won being the 2007/08 League Cup.

The Cape May County prosecutor's office said there is not enough evidence to warrant criminal charges against the officer. When asked on "GMA" whether that was her reason for not giving the officer her name, she said, "No, not mainly".

Thierry Henry caught up with England captain Harry Kane to discuss his plans for next season, the pressure on England at the World Cup and who was his childhood footballing hero.

Kane maintained his fine form through 2015 with a double to help win the north London derby at White Hart Lane on February 7.

Teddy Sheringham (97), Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane (both 91) came close but he is Tottenham's only centurion.

He made his England debut in March 2015 against Lithuania and has scored 13 goals in 24 England appearances.

The settling of Kane's long-term future will also be pleasing for England manager Gareth Southgate as it will not serve as a distraction during the World Cup finals this month.
